Hilyard Road Closure Affects Beall Concerts

June 29, 2006

Summertime road construction in Eugene will affect your ride to Beall 
Hall. Here is the description from the City of Eugene

Hilyard Street from 13th Street to 18th Avenue: Road closed to 
through traffic June 19 to August 1. Motorists should use alternate 
routes such as High Street (for northbound traffic) and Patterson or 
Pearl Streets (for southbound traffic). Sidewalks will remain open 
for foot traffic to access local homes and businesses, but the 
sidewalk access ramps at each corner along Hilyard Street will be 
closed. Sidewalk access at Hilyard and 13th will be restricted at 
limited times July 5th through July 7th with pedestrians detoured to 
nearby routes.

Hilyard Street at 18th Avenue: Intersection is open to traffic east, 
west and south. Some construction traffic and flagging. No access to 
Hilyard street North of 18th. Please use caution.

Hilyard Street from 18th Avenue to 24th Avenue: Some work by utility 
companies particularly from 23rd to 24th, Roads will remain open for 
traffic. Bikes may need to merge with auto traffic; expect delays and 
flaggers. Please use caution.
