2007 season • Press ReleaseRide the EMX to Bach Night April 17March 29, 2007 Bach lived his days some 270 years ago, but he gets his night April 17 as the Oregon Bach Festival presents its annual Bach Night season preview party. This year's edition takes place at the new Wildish Theater, 630 Main St. in Springfield at 7 pm. Featuring the CD release of the Festival's new Haydn mass recording, and live music with Trio Voronezh, the free event is sponsored by SELCO Community Credit Union. Bach Night includes:
The grand prize, donated by the UO Bookstore, is an iPod loaded with Oregon Bach Festival CD recordings. A special part of the night will be excerpts from the newly-releaesed CD of Haydn's Creation Mass, recorded live at last year's OBF and issued on the Hanssler label. All attenders will receive discount coupons for tickets purchased that night to the 2007 Oregon Bach Festival, which takes place June 29-July 15.
