2009 season • Press ReleaseVideo: Dance, theater, music combine in MidsummerMay 29, 2009
On July 5, Mendelssohn's beloved music for Shakespeare's fantasy sparks an event of magical movement and beauty. Within our "Shakespeare and Music" theme, the Eugene Ballet dances Toni Pimble's original choreography with narration by company members of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, to the accompaniment of live choir and orchestra conducted by Robin Engelen. Tickets are $15-$29, click here for order details. The orchestra will be in the pit, and Ashland actors Sarah Rutan and Robert Voncent Frank will flank the stage, clearing plenty of space for the dancers of Eugene Ballet.
