Best known as a composer, Leonard Bernstein was also a great teacher; he mentored the OBF's Helmuth Rilling in the mid 1960s. And the tuneful gusto of his Broadway music delights us to this day. Jamie Bernstein narrates this colorful tour of her father's best-loved musicals, seasoned with synopses and family anecdotes. The OBF orchestra and a team of New York-based soloists bring to life these Broadway favorites from the lyricism of Candide to the finger snapping beat of West Side Story.
