The STANGELAND FAMILY YOUTH CHORAL ACADEMY is the Oregon Bach Festival's innovative program for high school vocalists. The 12-day experience, led by conductor Anton Armstrong of St. Olaf College, is open by audition nationwide. It includes classes, an intensive schedule of rehearsals, work with OBF Artistic Director Helmuth Rilling, social opportunities, attending Oregon Bach Festival concerts, and a gala final concert. Their 2010 featured performance takes place July 5 in Silva Hall, with guest artist Bobby McFerrin and repertoire that includes movements from Bach's B Minor Mass, conducted by Maestro Rilling. The choir also will appear at the July 3 anniversary gala and the June 28 Discovery Series lecture concert.
