Festival Soloist

RAHEL RILLING, violinist, is cofounder and artistic director of the Chamber Music Festival Hohenstaufen near Stuttgart, Germany. She is coprincipal second violin in the Northern Germany Orchestra in Hamburg, and has served as concert master at the Oregon Bach Festival. She has appeared in chamber music festivals in the U.S. and throughout Europe with Radovan Vlatkovic, Peter Frankl and Allan Vogel. She regularly travels to Venezuela where she gives master classes. She has studied with Yair Kless in Tel Aviv and with Michael Mücke and Nora Chastain in Berlin and Zurich, and participated in master classes given by Zakhar Bron, Joseph Silverstein, Mauritio Fuks and Christoph Poppen.
